St. Swithun’s Church HAKI Temporary Roof, Worcester

Client: Splitlath Building Conservation Ltd

Our next HAKI Temporary Roof project got underway in Autumn 2019 at St. Swithun’s Church, Worcester. This regeneration of a beautiful Georgian Church to create “Sound and Art at St Swithun’s” is being overseen by The Regeneration Team at The Churches Conservation Trust and funded by Heritage Lottery Funding. Our client is Splitlath Building Conservation Ltd.

Working in a busy pedestrian thoroughfare always has its Health and Safety challenges. On the engineering front, lots of beams were required to overcome lack of foundations, and as always, the opportunities to tie-in the scaffold for stability were almost non-existent.

Project Duration: 8 months

Project Value: £2.4 million
