Eastnor Castle Estate HAKI Temporary Roof, Ledbury

Client: Eastnor Castle Estate

Our long-standing client, Eastnor Castle Estate, required a temporary roof over the Estate Offices to facilitate a complete re-roofing project during the Autumn. As the photos illustrate this also included beamed wraprounds to a triple and quadruple chimney stack.
We utilised our proven HAKI temporary roof system to install this designed scaffold which included 80 tons of kentledge to obviate having to tie-in to the delicate timber-and-brick- panel structure. The client and tradesmen particularly appreciated the Keder roof sheets during the almost daily downpours that occurred in Autumn 2019. The Keder sheets absorb the impact of the rain, in stark contrast to old-fashioned tin sheets – these can be deafening to work under in heavy rain. The other big advantage at this time of year is that Keder sheets let light through, unlike tin roofs which can significantly reduce the working day in Autumn and Winter. This in turn can lead to delays with programme.

The property was in use throughout the duration of our works, and our Operatives were, as always, commended on their courtesy and sensitivity.
